The Qutub Shahi Tombs are a series of big tombs and mosques. The kings of the Qutub Shahi dynasty built it. It is located in the Ibrahim Bagh. It is close to the Golconda Fort in Hyderabad. The Qutb Shahi Tombs are also known as the 7 tombs Hyderabad. It is a historical site that features the tombs of seven rulers of the Qutb Shahi dynasty.

The galleries of the small tombs are of a single storey. The big tombs have 2 floors. The centre of each tomb overlies the actual burial vault. The domes were overlaid with blue and green tiles, and only a few pieces remain now. In the year 2014, UNESCO placed this place on its list to become a World Heritage Site.

During the Qutb Shahi period, the tombs were held in veneration. In 1687, the tombs were converted into barracks by the attacking Mughal army. The grounds were then turned into a camp. Guns were mounted onto the tombs in order to bomb the fortress.

The tombs fell into disorder until Salar Jung III ordered their restoration in the 19th century. A garden was laid, and then a compound wall was built. Then, the Qutb Shahi family tomb became a place of serene beauty.

The Qutub Shahi Tombs in Hyderabad timings are from 9.30 AM till 4.30 PM daily, except for Fridays.

The entry fee to the Qutb Shahi Tombs is Rs. 10 for adults and Rs. 5 for kids. There is an additional fee of Rs. 20 for still cameras and Rs. 100 for video cameras.

The architecture is a mixture of Pathan, Hindu, and Persian styles. The towers exhibit an Islamic style. The tombs are in quadrangular shape. It is in a dome-shaped structure. Grey granite is used to make these tombs. These tombs may look similar, but each tomb is unique, and it has different details.

Each tomb is ornamented with beautiful decoration. There are pointed arches which are 9 to 15 meters in height from the platform. The seven Qutab Shahi Tombs differs in size. The 5th king of Qutub Shahi dynasty, Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah, is the biggest one of all the tombs. The remarkable tomb rises to a height of 42 meters.

There is a museum in the compound of the tombs with antique collections of the Qutb Shahi period. Golkonda Fort can be seen from the Tombs here as it is just 2 km away from it.
